K line issues

K line issues
So I have a 2001 audi tt quattro. I went to have my chip re-flashed today (APR) and they said it couldn't be done because my kline was grounded out? i have a sony deck in it right now and evidentially that has something to do with it. any one know anything about this mysterious "kline"? HELP
