Exclamation Lots of wheel spin mk1 225 tt

Hey guys I have a mk1 225 tt, completely stock. I was driving today in the rain and every shift I had a considerable amount of wheel spin. I was giving it a decent amount of throttle but not full by any means. I do have fairly bald tires so this may be a pointless post but should I get that much wheel spin in just a little rain? It kind of feels like its running in front wheel drive.

Any thoughts, suggestions ,tips would be appreciated

your quattro is basically a front wheel drive car....... but it does transfer the power where it needs it........ and one reason it may be doing this is 1. you have already said or have you every changed your Haldex fluid and filter as that is suppose to be done every 20K miles???????????

The reason I know this is I did not even know what a Haldex was.......
if you need an assist on information email me direct or post again....

Default

my tires were bad and i would spin and start pulling(alignment out of wack) so yes the tires could be the issue
