Default MAF came with no wire???

I just received the new bosch MAF I ordered and I look in at the sensor and there's no wire where you would normally see one. I see a metal plate or something in there but no wire. Does anyone know if this is right? I don't want to do anything with it if I need to return it. See pic. "A" is where the wire would normally be and "B" is where I see a metal plate inside the sensor. The vendor said it's supposed to be like that for this part. Well I installed it. Running smoother now but my boost is still non-existent.

It's weird right my old MAF looked like that and I bought one with the wire and it still ran shitty so I'm running maffless, screw it...Runs well without it at least mine does..
I'm sure the fuel to air ratio is out of wack but oh well..
