Default MAF Harness/Connector Question

So I clean my MAF today to see if it would quell a rough idle and as I was pulling the harness connector off (yes, I was being gentle) I saw a piece of red plastic fall out. This may sound like a dumb question, but am I supposed to have four or five terminals in the connector? I would think five since the MAF is 5 prong, but I've been fooled before.

Car runs terrible now. I'm not sure if I got too close to the sensor with the red plastic tube from the can of MAF cleaner and ruined my MAF, or if the car is running shitty due to a bad harness.

Thanks

Run with it disconnected! I'm sure you tried that
I run without the MAF.
