Default Manufacturer Control Fuel Air Metering?

So, first I just wanted to start by saying, this forum rocks and has always helped me when I've needed it and I thank you kindly...

So now on to the problem...

Today my check engine light turned so of course I drove over to the nearest Advanced Auto Parts to have them check the code. The code it came up with is P1128 - Manufacturer Control Fuel Air Metering. I'm thinking it could be the Mass Air Flow Sensor possibly, or it could be the o2 sensor? But honestly I don't have the slightest idea...It had been a while since I had changed my air filter so of course I went out and got one of them right away to replace the old and very dirty one so I'm hoping that may have some part of it but I have no clue! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks again!

Edit: Car is 2001 TT 180hp model.

Do you notice any performance differences with the car?

Get someone to vagcom it, maybe there are more codes, not to mention that you can check all the measuring blocks tto make sure everything is running right.

There are no performance issues that I can see and I drive it at least 3 hours a day...

Reset the ecu and see if it comes back. That code could be a few things: vac leak, bad o2, or maf. But since you dont seem to be running bad, i would just reset it and see if it comes back and wasnt a random code

i reset the ecu like you said cincy and i have three of them code and they say the same thing as the tread reads,

i have:
1. brand new o2
2. im pretty sure ther is no vaccum leaks
3. i due have the maf sensor from the tt in my a4.

i know this is not my sub forum but i searched and this is where it is.

You could have a problem since the TT (both 180 and 225) use a differnt sensor than the A4.
