Maximum volume not very loud
I have a 2008 TT Roadster with Nav and the Bose audio package. Does anyone else think the maximum volume for music is not very loud? On the freeway with the top down the music cannot be turned up loud enough to override all the wind noise. You can hear the music but not very well. Very unimpressive. Does anyone else have this problem? And can anything be done?
I don't have a 2008 or a Bose, but I do have a roadster with the same problem. My rear speakers are hardly audible. Roadsters are always going to be tough. The Bose system especially, even with the amp, has a lot of speakers to drive with limited power. There are a lot of threads here with problems upgrading the factory radios. The answer with any auto sound system seems to be more power and better speakers. I'm sure not what you want to hear after paying big bucks for the upgraded Bose system.
Mine is plenty loud... hmm... I know there is a trick to get into more options of the bose sound system. When it is off you press a couple buttons or something, and from there I think you can change the sound parameters. You have to be careful to not blow your speakers doing that though... but its always an option. Does anybody know how to access those features? Try doing a search for it.
