RP does make 5w40 its just pricy as hell 11.95/L ... now that is one expensive MOTHA MOTHA

also what Pisses me off the most is that they have a sale on the RP motor oil on a box but the 5w40 i still have to buy per bottle @ 11.95/L YARG... im gonna roll my car into their store and annoy the hell out of them with the buzzing hazzard signal,... TAKE THAT !!! (sorry 4 coffees later and 2 retard people calling me every 5 minutes on directions for serving a person makes DurTTy very angry !!!)

I've been using Mobil 1 Synthetic "High Mileage" 10w30 at 110k miles...

Should I go to 5w30 or is the 10w30 fine because of my high mileage?

trust me this car isnt the only instance of a mobil one car with issues. ive read that mobil one is no longer even a true synthetic. it dosent meet the requirements anymore. that stuff is grossly overpriced junk. i have alot of customers that will testify that switching from mobil one to a liqui moly product is a noticeable different. personally i wouldnt ever run mobil one. people swear by it, i guess the catchy bottle and the good advertising have people sold. but in the end it is just another off the shelf crappy synthetic. most of those cars that claim they come from the factory running mobil one are full of shhhh. vw and audis both leave the factory running non synthetic elf or pentosin. your first 5000 mile service you are switched to synthetic. what brand is used....? whatever the dealer gets cheapest. Valley motors Porsche puts quaker state in porsche turbo's. Heritage VW uses castrol. if you want top of the line oil, its likely you will never find it in your local parts store (do you find gourmet dinners at seven eleven). the best brands i have ever seen in parts stores were ams oil and royal purple (i have no experience with royal purple but i hear good things). If you want the best go online, find race proven oils like liqui moly (its whats in the Audi Race cars), red line (no certifications but top of the line stuff), Motul (these guys invented synthetic), elf (what mobil one is to you, this is to the germans). and if you are in dire need there is nothing wrong with the amzoil.

i personally run 10 60 racetech liqui moly in my tt, a4, and corrado. its thick but has great cold flow charateristics. and a rule in engines is more oil pressure the better. in my old race built corrado i ran valvoline straight 50 weight.

do your own test get a bottle of mobil one and a bottle of amsoil , put them in your freezer overnight and pour them out in the morning. see which one flows better. then take those puddles on your garage floor hit them with a torch and see who dries up and sludges faster. weve done it.ill do it again if you want pics.

also one more thing to think about, mobil is exxon. does exxon mobil care more about product quality or profit margins. as aggressively as they can afford to advertise, that means they are making alot of scratch on there product. hsve you ever seen a red line commercial? i wonder wear there money goes?
