I just bought this car as a used car from a local dealer. It is a 2000 tt1.8 with dual miltekexhausts and a chipand it has only about 13000 miles, For some reason there is a stick spot above the radio a little below the middle between where the two circular air vents are and I am looking for some sticker or something that will be pretty cool that will fit there and cover up the the sticky part, I tried removing the residue but i think some of it melted into the plastic. Thanks for the help

some baby oil or wd40 sould remove the stickyness. if not go to an art supply and get either rubber cement thinner or even better 3m adhisive remover.

Watch the acetone/nail polish remover as they will likely lift color or messwith plastics. Goo-b-gone and lots of cloth rubbing will remove most stubborn adhesives.

The problem is that that dash is pretty much foam, with a sort of 'skin' over it. My airbag cover on the steering wheel has the same problem. Something gets on it and turns the material itself sticky, no amount of cleaning will fix it, its like cancer.

Try to find an S-line badge to cover it? That'd be sweet.
