so i went out and bought a stratmosphere diverter valve..installed it..and now the check engine light goes off? any reasoning as to why? possibly a leak in my vac line? the car now studderes when entering the turbo...which i think is caused to the t splice adapter the prior owner used and half assed clogged up the other end when he put in his bov, or diverter on it before i owned it...but i dont have a replacement hose as of yet....do you think this is my problem here?

 

DV leak? Not sure. Spray some windex around your DV then start the car and rev the engine. Have a buddy look at the valve and see if any bubbles are produced.

 

Make sure you have everything connected tightly and correctly. A faulty/blown DV will sound like its blowing off into the intake every second it can.
