Default diverter valve question

It may be a stupid question but with the 2.7t motor since it has two diverter valves can you run two aftermarket valves with 1 venting atmospheric and the other venting back in.

I don't know if I would call it "stupid" , but why would you want to do this? As long as the pressure is released from the front of the throttle plate when it closes quickly so as to keep the turbo compressors from stalling, everything is good.

If your DV's are shot, replace then right away. I have aftermarket units on mine, but I run up to 18 psi of boost too. If it's a stock motor, no chip, or a Stage-1 tune, the Audi DVs are perfectly fine.

the reason i asked was everyone says its better to recirculate but im with everyone else and like sound of a bov. i purchased 2 new valves and you have the choice of running them as a bov or diverter valve. so i was thinking if i could use them that away and have the best of both worlds

You can try it, but how are you going to seal the outlet port hose on the side you disconnect? Also, you might want to think about the chances of any dirt getting into the DVV if it's open to the air. I've built a lot of custom intake systems, but I would never leave an opening on the dirt side of an airfilter...

I dont think so since you have a MAF sensor. It will throw out the MAF's calculations no?

I have seen some youtube vids of it, but not sure what they had to do. Besides, just about all the 2.7 users have diverter valves. Even the ones with BATs like tials garrett ect..
