Well, I have bent valves, total to fix and replace all the stuff you guys on this list suggest, $2900.00. I gave it the go ahead and I'll have it back on Friday. My wallet feels like it been raped!

I changed mine at 85K miles I got lucky I guess.
You would think Audi would make a bigger stink about timing belts.
If it wasn't for this forum i would have had no idea the timing belts go at 60K miles.

Yeah, the whole Audi still recommends 100K timing belt service is horrid. I guess they don't want to go back and say you need to get it done at 60K because it would bve like and admission of fault. That would likely mean a whole lot of lawsuits for people that have had them fail with a fairly high chance of success.

So if they have to be changed at 60,000 does that mean they have to be changed at 120,000.

Yes it should just to be on the safe side, but you can risk it if you want too...

All these belt horror stories are making me squirm. 57000 miles and adding 120 per day(usually at highest speeds possible, nontheless). Is the deisalgeek kit and the ultimate from ECS the same? Any valid recommendations of one kit over the other? I work across the street from a mechanic who said he would install. Very convenient.
