If you still have the stock wheels/tires, run those in the winter. Or you can always find some steelies from a 2.0 VW, they are 16x6 i believe and great for winter tire setups.

Stagger setups are fine, the only thing you have to worry about is getting the tires as close to the same height as possible cause this will mess up the haldex if they are drastically different.

I have a set of 17's i was going to sell to help fun my search for 19's, so i would prefer to just go the 'all season route' due to the fact the car is my wifes daily driver and my play thing over the weekends etc...

The price of 17's are not that cheaper than the 19's if you are going for high performance all season etc... hence why i'm trying to get just the one set as a multi purpose etc..

What sizes do people run on 19's?

as for keeping the overall rolling circumference the same, i try and use this site as much as possible, comes in very handy:

Lets say your rims are 8.5" (F) & 9.5" (R). The recommended tire size is 235 (F) & either 255 or 265 (R). I'd say go 265 rear.

The GT Champiro tires are actually very nice. Even though its a China brand of tire. But it has very good tread wear, handles well and has a very smooth ride. They aren't expensive either.

Like what .clipse says, when you are ready to buy tires let him know. He'll take you to that place in Alhambra, they will give you good deals. I've done alot of shopping around at different stores for tires. And everytime the place in Alhambra gave me the best price. I so far have bought tires from them for 6 different cars.

I are F:225/40/18 R:295/30/18. It's doesn't effect the quattro/haldex.

295 is insane on the rear. What you got 10"+ rims? Cause 225 size says your fronts are 8"
