The 53000 I was saying was after the euro to dollar conversion. Hopefully when they come out in the states they are cheaper but I used a euro to dollar conversion table online and got 53000. But lets hope for lower.

Yeah I realized you already did the conversions afterwards.. Oops!
Didn't mean to give anyone heart failure [&:]

But even according to mitchs_TT

24000£ = $47,253.6 for the 2.0
and
28,500£ = $56,113.65 for the 3.2

The last time these currency rates were updated was 12/6/06 @ 7am.

So TTsteve was the closest! Congrats!

So I wonder what turbo is on the 2.0, anyone have an idea? I saw on a site that the 2.0 does 0-60 in about 6.3 and the 3.2 does it in 5.7. Not much of a difference and by the time you chip the turbo you will be very close to the 3.2. Im just hoping the prices are lower once they come out. I think I did see a site the other day where it said about 35,000 base for the 2.0. But I want the extras too.

If the 2.0T is only FWD - I'm not interested QUATTRO all that way, bay-beeee [8D]

But I'm with eliTTe on this - if a R and RS version are coming - I'll wait.

Odd they didn't show the BMW's 0-60 time...

Would the R and RS version be an off the lot thing done by Audi or would it be a special after market conversion? And how much more for the R and RS? The prices are already getting up there as it is.

Just read an article online from car and driver about the TT-S and TT-RS. The TT-S will come out first in 2008 and will have 280 HP and is quattro for about 45000 basline. Not bad, 0-60 in 5.4, better the 3.2s right now. The RS will come out in 2009 and will have more HP than the Cayman S, but not sure of the price. Cant wait I am going to look at the TT-S real good and will probably get it. 280 HP and then will see what types of general mods will be able to do to it.
