cause he is worried about waterlogging the engine. Its not hard, avoid puddles or buy the cover to put over the filter.
The 710n will be fine for a chipped car. People often dont want to worry about losing boost pressure or worry about it tearing so they just get a new one for $150 give or take.

ahh that's not a huge worry to me. Mainly since after the tests ive seen done, you would need to fully submerge the filter for it to bring up any sort of water, the suction will bring up maybe a few drops but nothing alarming. Had me scared for a second haha =)
