Newbie Looking for a 2001-2004 TT
Hey Guys
I am looking to buy a new TT and I was wondering if anyone knew what to watch out for (ie. problems associated with this generation TT) and also if anyone has a list of options these cars could have. So I know what kind of car I am getting. I dont want to think that because its 14,000 dollars Im getting a good car and to find out its pretty basic. Thank you

Check the FAQ for common issues (Timing belt, gauge cluster mostly).
Not really a lot of options for these cars. I guess the options are Engine (and assoicated trans and exhust system), AWD, Convertable, Nav (no screen), and Bose stereo.
I think they all have heated leather seats, side airbags and 17 inch rims. Sunroof is not available. Almost all TT's are manual trans.

heated seats, homelink, xenons, bose, cdchanger, nav were options either singularly or as part of a package.
18s standard on 2004-2006 3.2s with auto trans only (DSG), dual exhaust
18s available thru the dealer for 180s and 225s
180fwd also have auto trans, single exhaust
180awd are 5spd manual, single exhaust
225awd (only) are 6spd only, dual exhaust.
