Default No longer indicating when unlocking... Any ideas?

I recently had my 2004 TT Roadster scraped in a car park and took it to a local body shop only to get it back and find that when I unlock the car remotely the indicators no longer flash. The car unlocks fine remotely, the indicators seem to be working fine when driving they've just stopped flashing when locking/unlocking :S

I pressed the body shop about this since they did remove one of the rear lights to straighten up a rubber seal but they say they didn't touch anything that could cause this and since I'm not 100% this wasn't just something that went unnoticed before they got it I've not kicked up a fuss about it.

I took it to my local Audi dealership but the Service Technician had no idea what it was and started talking about reprogramming keys, replacing receiver modules... All kinds of costly and probably unnecessary experiments so I thought I'd see if anyone here had come across this before or knows a fix? Google didn't show anything but I may just not have been using the correct terminology...

You can change the coding in the central locking module with a vag-com cable, if you can find someone locally with a cable to help you.
Worth checking to see if its coded to flash the lights, or if that was changed at one point.

Check this list, and there's another list on vwvortex too.

Agreed , the coding probably got messed up when disconnecting the battery.

Find a indi shop that has Vag Com , they should be able to help you out.

I seem to remember 2001 doing this once, but as I remember it fixed itself. Coding is where I'd start; might be worth it to just buy a vagcom cable.
