Ok I spoke with some experts today and they guided me through a couple tests and whatnot. We pretty much determined that the haldex is ok, it just needs a fluid flush and filter. I am scheduled to have it done friday at Eurotech in Knoxville, TN. Its about an hour and a half drive, but he is supposed to be one of the best Audi/VW techs in the area.

Well I got the haldex completely flushed and filter changed this morning and it solved the problem. Got the car completely checked out and everything is good the guy said that the fluid that came out was completely black and the filter was way overdue but there was no apparent damage to the haldex unit so I guess I got lucky. Thanks fo rall the help guys.

Wow. That is lucky. Hope the dealer didn't charge you too much, concidering it's pretty much the same exact same thing as an oil change.

I actually had it done at Eurotech in knoxville. Rick is a 25 year audi master tech and a friend of a friend so I made it out pretty good on labor. The filter and oil are pretty expensive by themselves though so there is only so much you can do
