Oil change?
Alright well I changed it today.. getting the filter off was a PITA but it got done.
Questions:
1. I couldn't get that plastic panel back on, can it wait to be put back on, or is it vital to do it now?
Alright just went to go check it out.. and there is a small oil spot on my driveway.. **** I guess I'll take t to the shop tommorow and have them fix whatever I screwed up. I have the filter on nice and tight.. so maybe it's just the drain plug??

I still dont have one on mine, but i bought it that way. You can drive it like that, everything will be fine, you will just notice at highway speeds your car feels a bitter looser. That is why im about to make my own.

Where is the oil spot? You dont have to put the death grip on the plug for it to not leak but firm enough to where it stays close. I bet you just spilled some oil when you removed the filter and its just trickaling down. Either just go wipe everything down or just wait a day or so and it will go away.
I AM CONFIDENT YOU DONT HAVE TO TAKE IT ANYWHERE.

Well.. it looks like you are right. I went out right now and checked it.. I didn't see anymore oil leakage. My level is still the same.. so that's good. I'll keep my eye out for it, but it just had me worried last night. I figured I'd save myself 30 bucks and change everything myself. Boy trying to get that filter off did suck.
Oh well. I'm happy.now. Thanks!!

well since you installed the filter yourself the next time you go to change it it will be much easier to remove. The oil change/ dealerships put that plug and filter on so tight to make sure it doesnt leak and can get sued. My favorite are the stories of people leaveing and they never go their drain plug reinstalled.

Hey I can't seem to find my owners manual.. How do you reset the service light? I remember seeing it in there, just can't seem to find the book.
Thanks
