just get the ECS magnetic plug w/ a bunch of copper washers. magnetic > stock

 

I replaced my drain plug once and it was the wrong thread pitch and stripped my oil pan. Thus, I no longer change the bolt anymore. btw, it was the ecs magnetic plug at $13... really pissed!!

 

^ thats why i went to autozone for one. There is lots of issues of people stripping pans with their plugs [:'(]

 

you must be one with your auto....
first ECS plug they sent me back when i got the 180 was wrong diameter. it threaded all the way in, but just didnt feel right. It wasn't. Went back to stock. have one for the 225 though, works fine.

 

Dam. Those basterds. I should call them up. I didn't know other people had the same problem.

 

ive got the magnetic autozone plug. works

 

just installed my ECS plug, fit perfect..... all i need now is the billet belly pan....

 

Go to vwvortex and search them and you can see how many PO'ed 1.8t'ers there are
