Ok im realy starting to believe that it is my crappy autozone(non k&n) cone filter that is making my maf not read correctly, im realy starting miss my damned modshack vtda. Should i buy another grossly overpriced vtda or buy a shroom filter off ebay? Or what do you suggest?

that isnt the problem. I have had a crappy autozone cone filter on my car for a while and have had 0 problems. I wouldnt buy a shroom filter. They are the best flowing but they dont filter worth a damn. If anything buy a bpi flow stack and an AEM dry flow filter to fit. I plan on doing this in the summer.

I currently run a crappy autozone cone (freebie from a friend). I swapped in a BPI flowstack with an AEM dryflo to see if it made a difference...sure enough, no difference.

Pull off your maf. If it's oil-ly clean it out the senor is not reading correctly.
