Hello, I just wanted to say hello again as I just purchased a 2001 225 in silver with grey interior. I don't usually like silver, but I love the contrast with all of the black on the car. I used to frequent the forum over a year ago when I had a 2000 S4. I departed and drove a Mini Cooper S for a year, but I have always been looking for a TT, I just couldn't find one that I wanted and settled for the S. It is a great car and probably just as fast as the 225 due to a supercharger reduction pulley, software, and it's about 1,000 pounds lighter, but the TT is just so beautiful and the Quattro comes in handy when it snows here.

Any way, the car already has Revo software and has a rebuilt top end due to timing belt jump so I'm good to go for about 60k.

Welcome. A software flash well make a huge difference in performance, well worth it.

I was thinking for getting a mini s for my girl... Is it pretty simular to the tt size wise and handleing as well? And do the mini's have any known issues? I heard they are about as reliable as the tt's, lol.

Sorry for the late reply, been out of town a while. The mini is a great car. They don't have timing belts, they have chains like other BMW. High failure items are radiator, reservoir, power steering pump fan, and various little things. I've replaced all of them on my mini and it's cherry. I'm selling it for 13,900. It has a 15% reduction pulley, shark software, and mini madness CAI.

As for the TT, I'm pretty pissed. I'm going to start another thread with the problems.
