Default Overheating Issues

I first changed my fans. Then i changed my thermostat...I also changed the thermostat housing...

The issue im having is, when im driving the car the car drives fine for about 15 to 20 minutes then it starts to over heat past the half way point on the temp gauge. If i either stop or pull over to a light i notice if i give the car some gas it will start to move back to normal or atleast to the half way point where its not over heating...

Another thing i notice is the guy that changed my thermostat used a Auto Zone thermostat.

Another thing i noticed is that the top hose really wasnt getting any coolant moving there there. So the guy that works on my car said maybe the thermostat was bad and its not opening. But i took it out and put it in boiling water and it opened up. But i read on the thermostat it opens up at 192f.

So im trying to figure out why im not really getting any coolant flowing there and is the auto zone thermostat not good for my audi..

i have a Audi tt 2002

Most likely the water pump impeller is loose on the shaft. May work when cold but expand and slip when hot. Chances are it's cracked or half missing. The impellers are plastic and disintegrate after a few years.
