yeah do the timing belt, I honestly wouldnt even drive it again until you do. I know how that sounds, but there have been unlucky forum members who's belt snapped while the kit was in the mail headed towards them. If the money is super tight, suspend your auto coverage if thats much of a cost to just cover comprehensive, or do waht else you need to, both dieselgeek and ecs tuning have very reasonably priced kits. The real cost is in the labor, unless your handy or local to a forum member who could help you. I know it sucks but you are pretty much rolling the dice until you get it done. Good luck
