Please Help! Car intermittently wont crank
Hi All,
I have an '01 TT 225 with 82,000 miles. About 2 weeks ago I go to start the car and it won't crank, all the lights work and everything else. I have the car towed home and disconnect the battery and pulled the starter and have it tested. Everything tests okay, I put it all together and it starts right up.
Everything is great until Monday, again won't crank, tow it to a garage they hookup all their test equipment and it starts right up. Anyone have any ideas?

might have something to do with your key fob. Maybe the car is not seeing the signal and will not let it start?
My car won't start if it fails on the first try. Meaning if I turn the key to on and start and the engine doesn't "start" then I have to turn the key all the way to off before it will attempt to start again. Don't know if that is the way it is supposed to be or a special "feature" that Audi has?

Thanks guys, my battery terminals are all tight. I have tried both key fobs that doesn't seem to make a difference.
As far as having to turn the key to the off position after a no start, that is a safety feature built in to the Audi's
