Default Plug suggestions?

Yeah, it's been awhile since I've visited, but this seems to be the best place to get solid opinions on Audi related ****.

Need new plugs for my '02 TT Quatro 180T - any suggestions?

Most stick with ngk's. You can get cheap copper that will last 2 oil changes, platinum or iridium that should last as you know... Years.

copper ngk if you change your own, fires better + easier due to being a better conductor, fancy hard metals are for longevity to meet warranties, they are poor conductors

I feel I must challenge the assertion that copper plugs "fire better". Why? In spite of the fact that Copper is a better conductor than say Iridium (a member of the Platinum family), in the world of high energy ignition systems the difference between the two is virtually nonexistent. In fact, the difference is so "nonexistent" that in controlled laboratory environments, it is not possible to detect when any given engine is running Copper plugs versus say Iridium plugs.

So, while copper is the better conductor, it won't amount to a hill of beans when it comes to performance or fuel economy.
