Default Poly Bushings?

Ok,
I see everyone posting all this stuff about upgrading their "dogbone mounts" or sway bar bushings or bushings this and that. I hate to sound like a total idiot, but what is the deficiency with the stock ones and what is the end state of changing them out with Polys or teflon? I already ordered some other stuff and am looking into suspension components now and really don't know what I'm looking for. I've already ordered the neuspeed 19mm rear sway. Now I'd like to tighten up the handling a little further if possible but dont know where to start. any ideas?

On a side note... what the hell is a catch can for? (where would i find more info on it?

Catch can is for oil blow by which comes with a tubo set up, if you don't have it you don't notice, but it doesn't hurt to have one. On our cars in a relatively stock setup, there should be little to no oil getting through, howevert when you turn the boost up or go BT you will have alot getting by, you can unscrew and add the oil back in the car every once in a while. You will fill the can up quickly if you have a bad PCV system though

Poly = Stiffer

Your sway bar you just ordered will come with Poly, there's a reason for that, it's harder and tougher. The problem with stock is it's setup for comfort and is rubber. If you want to change the handling characteristic's of your car the best way is to go DEFCON = www.modshack.info and follow thier info. I will eventually make this car a track car only but thta's years down the road and definately not in Germany.

Hope that helps you man.

T
