Ok, thanks. I checked out that site. A complete TB kit (minus pump) is about $250 or so. That's not too bad at all. Is the TB and water pump the key fixes one should do? Beyond that, I imagine its brakes, oil, fluids as usual. Right?

i had a cat that lived until it was 19... i got it when i was 2.... it was going bald by the time the thing finally died... lol. Oh and the Timing belt/ water pump/ thermostat will run you about 1,200$ if you make Audi tech do it... Buy the kit for 280$ and plan on a 12 hour day with your car if you have some mechanic ability

lol...12hrs isn't anything bad if it saves me that much money. I have rebuilts a car, motorcycle, dunebuggy, and built my own hotrod. I also have done springs, and lifted my truck. So yeah, I know my way around a engine. Combine that with my own full outfitted garage...lol

im jealous... lol... but yea, if you can do the kit on your own huge $$ saver..

but after that your right. brakes, fluids, the norm... hope you get it!

i bought my 2001 225 tt with 72k for 14200, then added 600 for a water pump, timing belt, tensioner.
