check your 4 wheel alignment often. as well as tire pressure. its actually worth the taking to audi for an alignment. they have that "alignment for life" program. i think its like 150$ and i would have it checked anytime you hit a good curb/pothole. my stock wheels are 18s and tires are expensive. even worse if youve got a nice staggered wheel and tire combo.

I've got 22k on this set and I can squeeze maybe another 1k or so out of them. I wish someone made a harder compound tire this size. This car doesn't need a sticky tire to handle well.

Don't need stickies... I dunno about that...

whats the treadwear on your tires? I've had as hard as a 420 treadwear tires. they sucked for how I was driving, but did what they should for a 420 treadwear tire...

My Pzero nero's have about 8K on them now. (threadwear 400)
I don't really notice a big difference in thread depth yet. i'm definately not halfway done with these.

Tire Rack is an excellent source of info, and the very best place to purchase in my opinion. I have two very good customer service stories tI can share, where the company repaid me, or replaced product and paid for labor as well.

On thier website, look at the options for treadwear and you will find the Ultra High Perfomance are only around 420 max. So in order to get more treadwear, you simply need to step down a notch or two from UHP to a lesser performance tire.

There WILL be a noticable difference in handling - I won't trade it for treadlife, that's what money is for.

Since I've had my car for around I've put on four sets of tires.

Bridgestone REs good for around 10K
managed to get 12K out of the Toyo T1-S
First set of Toyo RA-1s were showing cords after less than 2000 miles
Second set have 500 miles on them and aren't looking bad
Currently have a set of Pilot Sports on with about 3000 miles and are wearing well.

Of course, the thing that has shortened the life of most of the above is a whole lot of this......

So I don't really mind the wear, the miles are a blast.
