Default Question?

i was installing my intake today and i noticed on my forge splitter valve that there was like an oil on the blowoff part is that normal or not? also was gonna purchase the dv relocation kit is it worth it or dosent make a difference?

It is oil blow by from the head. You need to install a catch can to prevent this from happening further. As for the relocation, the closer the dv is to the TB, the better.

whats a catch can? is there a cheaper way to relocate the dv instead of spending $180 on the kit?

is that oil a bad thing? i ve noticed it on my TT but now it doesn't matter cus my head is blown

catch can removes the oil from the vent on the head and block before it goes back to the intake. If you dont remove it, you will have oil go all the way through the intake to the intake manifold and then into the engine, thats bad

So if it goes in the intake is it also fouling injectors and plugs...it being oil?

Blow by - that used to mean problems on the way...

It is oil vapor in the vent, since oil escapes its called blow by. When that oil cools (in your intercooler, intake manifold, throttle body etc) it will crust and cause problems along with loss of performance. Not really going to foul plugs or injectors.
