Cool Removed the spoiler on my Audi TT mk1 - what to do next?

Hi

Water is leaking in in the rear compartment of my Audi TT mk1 from '99 whenever it rains. I suspected that the water comes in via the rear spoiler and so I removed the spoiler.
In turns out all the rubber attached to the spoiler was in pretty bad condition and likely is the culprit.
Now I need to add the spoiler back. Have anybody tried this before (or had similar problem with the water)?

- the price tag on the "original spoiler repair kit" is around £50 which is pretty hefty imo. Will some standard insulating rubber do? Any advice?

Cheers

Plug the holes with rubber grommets and leave the spoiler in the garage. Don't drive over 110mph and enjoy better MPG and improved styling!
