repair question any help ??

Default repair question any help ??

so our check engine light came on, t4051 fault i think it was they said

audihouse says it is secondary air system fault and it is probably the secondary air pump

so ok if this is whats wrong, they say "we always replace the kombivalve (??) when doing this work"



thoughts ?

the combivalve is the shiny metal cylinder thing to the right of the valve cover. its on a steel tube that attaches to the side of the block. Theres also a vacuum line that goes to it, and an approx. 1" black corrugated hose. This is the point where the air from the secondary air pump meets exhaust (roughly).

btw, it'd be a P code (powertrain)....
