Default resonator delete....

...is a waste of time... im getting a catback soon, and figured what the heck, lets see what everyone is talking about. and other than little more high rpm bark, i havent noticed anything different. in my book, a complete waste of time. just my thoughts

^ for a stock exhaust, you're better off deleting the muffler than the resonator.

as for cat/turbo-backs, then yes, a resonator can do a little for sound... to a lot.

yea i agree.. i just did this mod too. I can tell a little deeper and throatier sound at 3k rpm but its not a huge difference. Its not a big money mod so for $30 its not a big waste.

I really noticed/liked the resonator delete on my 180 Quattro, but that is just me. It is a bit louder and very cheap. A good option until I can afford/find a full turbo back exhaust.

yeah, i think i spent arounnd 10 dollars. did the welding, myself, just got the piece of pipe, and some polar pops. I really thought about the muffler delete, but i still want to have the stock setup in case i sell the car, i can sell the stuff i had on it, or keep it for the next tt.. yeeaaahhh.

I have a 180 Quattro and was thinking of removing the rear silencer, if anyone’s already done it, when you remove the rear box and use some pipe and 45’s how do you secure the new pipe to the existing bracket? Has anyone found a way that is stable and doesn’t brake?
