Default 2.8 resonator delete

Alright here it is!
I've been wanting to remove my [mid] resonator for a while now.
but I have given it a lil more taught because I dont want my car to sound too 'ricey'
I just want it to have a sick low/deep tone to it!
right not I only have a magnaflow exhaust and K&N short ram intake. and I like the way it sounds, specially after ~3800RPMs. but before that it's just a lil too quiet.
what do you guys think??
and what size pipe should I be running after the cats?? I think I've heard people talk about 2.25 or 2.5in...
Thanks in advance!

It's 2 1/4" into the resonator and 2 1/2" out. I removed my muffler and ran just the resonator and it sounded pretty sick. Unfortunately I can't run just a resonator so I had to put the muffler back on.

I recently did my exhaust with HFCs and a magnaflow too, but I used an ultra quiet HF resonator. My car has a quiet and smooth mid-toned note, for the most part. I think I am less tolerant of loudness than you are, based on your post and I definitely feel that the resonator is not only making it quieter, but changing the tone to a higher mid-tone from the deeper low-tone that I would probably get if I had it deleted.

I would say get rid of the resonator if you stress a deep sound. I like my sound, but it is far less deep than what I expected or wanted. Just expect loudness with the deepness tho.

stock piping would be the most practical.

roll4ever - i have a custom HF muffler with magnaflow tips. (i actually taught i had a magnaflow muffler lol)
so i think im gonna get a 14816 serier magnaflow muffler with the mid-resonator removed. but for now that can wait. im saving up for H&R Race springs/Bilstein Sport Shock suspension setup..
thank you guys for the input! greatly appreciated
