Default Serpentine question and engine cut out

Two quick questions. My car has been squealing at start, goes away after a bit. I looked at the serpentine, it is nice and tight, doesnt look to be in that bad of shape but I am sure that is where it is coming from. I didnt get a chance to really investigate how to change it since my car is covered in ice from our recent ice storm, but I plan on doing it this week. What is the fastest way to approach this task. Anything to help me save time in this cold weather will be appreciated.

Also, when I make sharp turns and the traction control kicks on, I loose all power until the wheels stop spinning. Is this normal. Sometimes the whole electronics cut out, radio shuts off then right back on, and dashboard beeps at me. One time i hit ice and my brake light started flashing and my abs light came on. Restarted car and they were gone. Is any of this normal?

Thanks

might be time to start thinking about the Timing belt.
i'm not saying that's what's squealing, but it's a belt too.

this could be interesting and due to the ice storm, the serpentine belts controls all on this car not like the duel belt system and engine cut out would point to overload and this could be all related to low battery power so check it out

sounds like your timing belt......could be the ice forms.....then melts from the heat of your engine, thenthe water might getonto your timing belt making it slip...which could be why your car hiccups on and off.......which would also mean your should change your water pump. Also look at buying a tensioner.

Took a look at it today.....The tensioner pulley is to blame. burned up a few ribs on the belt and then must have got caught on the ones that were left. only half of the belt was on the pulley. Ordered new pulley, should be in tomorrow. This car is the biggest piece of sh*t I have ever owned....everytime I fix one thing another comes up. Is it wrong to pray to get into a very bad accident? Thanks for the help guys.
