I bought my 01 225hp tt used and the owner couldn't find the manual. My car has been running rough and we can't find a code.

the "service" light has always been on. When I play with the little switch it seems to stick on a message that states "1MPH."

can someone glance at their book and let me know what this means? I'll look around for a used owners manual as well.

THe 1mph is a setting for an alarm when you go over a certain speed(unrelated to the service light). My service light is on also, I will check my service manual a get back.

 

to my understanding the service light is for the service intervals. here is a post on how to reset it.

since you car is running ruff...Is your check engine light on too?
