Hello all. I have a 2001 180 fwd as a toy and have about 1500 left budgeted to make it fun.

it has already been chipped and has a new intake.

Any suggestions for the $1500 area? can I upgrade the turbo for that little or should I focus on springs and the like?

 

Probably should have considered a turbo upgrade before flashing.
If all the maintenance has been done consider a cat back and suspension upgrades.

Do you have a boost gauge?

 

Boost guage, DV, down pipe, MBC and coilovers. Should be right around your budget.

 

If your clutch is near the end of it's life then replacing it could take a nice chunk of that mad money. Is everything sorted out to make it reliable? Brake system flushed? CV boots good? Hoses & belts good? Timing belt and water pump have plenty of life? There is a bunch of stuff that can eat up dollars in a hurry so maybe put some away for later.
