Default service question

I have the service indicator in my 03 TT and the dealership said it was because the last service was a year ago (june 07). The last service was 30k even though the car only has 29k on it, and i have only put on 500 since i got it in march. The next service due is the 45k one said the dude, and its gonna cost about a grand as it goes pretty in depth.

I am thinking two things, one, drive it for at least another 5k till i get this service done and do all the simple stuff, oil, filters etc. or get it done!

What do you guys think? I am about to change out the DV foe the forge DV/BOV one i just bought and i have it with stage one apr chip right now.

Thanks in advance fellow tt'ers

Default RE: service question

The service indicator can be reset manually and changed to a differnt interval. How to do it can be found in a simple search. Most of the stuff that needs changed can be done yourself if you have the correct tools and jackstands. The haldex filter and fluid change from what i hear isnt that hard, just need the proper wrench, same goes with oil, filter, and other small jobs.
