where do you shift at from 1-2 , right before redline?, or even before that? i mean i would assume rigth before redline for all other gears, but for 1-2 just wondering cause ive never owned an awd car before and some of the vids i am seeing people arnt takign it all the way up from 1-2

 

1st gear from 2nd is usually short bcuz of how the gear ratios are set. if i'm wanting to get down i'll roll in 1st going about 5mph then gun it and shift at 4500-5000rpms . i never redline any gear.(dont need to)

 

if you looking at a dyno printout, you'll see max power is made before redline, closer to 5500 on the 180, so that would be my shift point.
