Default Someone Stop Me!!!

I'm doing my brakes this weekend.

Who has what pads and how are they compared to stock?

I'm not planning on doing rotors unless I pull them off and they look bad.

Hawk? Axxis? Mintex? EBC Redstuff? Greenstuff?

I've read reviews, but I want some TT owner specific comments.

Anyone?

+1 on the PBRs, also no squeaking/squealing after break-in.
As for rotors front Brembo cross drilled, rear EBC cross drilled and slotted.
EBCs where the only ones I could find that fit a 180 quattro, besides oem.

Your still going to atleast have the rotors turned/resurfaced if you install new pads. If there is enough meat on them you can do that, shouldnt cost much at all. If you arent to rough on pads, greenstuff, if you drive it hard and get the temps hot, redstuff. But i have only had stock and then wilwood on my car.

Those wilwoods must be awesome... They have had you stopped for months now! .

Sorry... Mean.

At least you're avoiding the salt on the roads.
When are you posting a progress report?

Cant control everything. The builder broke a gasket or 2 and is waiting on those and some bolts from the dealer that they dont seem to keep in stock. Thebiggest problem was that the mach shop put my stuff to the side and never did the work for months. Was talking to someone else on vortex and he said another guy (that now drives a TT also) had is 1.8t for is gti at a mach shop for about a year and everytime he called he got an attitude. Same thing applied here also.
