Default Steering Clicking

I noticed that when I pulled out of my parking spot that as Iturned my wheel there was a clicking noise. I think I had a problem like this before on a different car andit was the cv joint(s). Has this happened to anyone and if so how much does something like that cost to repair? I was trying to find a diagram of the steering trying get an understanding of what the parts are. Does anyone know whereI could that? Thanks.

Thanks. That link is every diagram I could imagine. I'm not sure from the diagram if it is what I think. There is a part called a guide joint (8N0407365B).

So the mechanic just called. He hears the clunking in my steering but put it on the lift and can't see anything that is wrong. This is great cause I didn't spend any money but I still will be ultra paranoid driving on I-95. I have new gameI like to play since I bought my TT. It is called "what's that sound". I have one for every section of my car depending on the day. I don't want to say it but my2004 RSX really wasn't that bad of a car. Why did I trade it in?

I am beginning the wonder for those who have bought their car used if the previous owners hadnt done the required maintenance or just rode the cars hard cuz I bought mine new and I treat her like gold but I still run her good and I havent had any noise problems or anything like that. These cars do require some pampering and that might take some $$$$ from time to time but that is what is required when you buy a car of this type. I will say that there are alot of new members on here now that seem to have bought a TT and are having minor problems but the older ones who I think bought theirs new and still have them have done the required maintenance and seem to be doing ok. But that is just MHO. These cars are great but the need their love from the owner.

I'm pretty sure my car was treated well before I bought it. It had two owners both local andwas traded in at the BMW dealership. It was old (2001) but only had 39,900 on it. My noises are random ones like the privacy shield in the trunk. The speaker in the passenger side is vibrating something. There isa light rattle somewhere down low in the columnbetween the shifter and the parking brake.
