STEREO HELP!
Ok well I justpurchased a 2001 Audi TT Quattro. It has the Bose sound system in it. The sound system appeared to be working fine; however, when I put a CD in the 6-CD changer and tried to turn down the volume the volume continuously went up. If I turn off the unit and turn it back off it starts at a low volume andat that point I can adjust the volume up to my level, but that is annoying and I don't want to have to do that for forever. It does not do this when listening to the radio, only when using the cd player. Anyone know what could be causing this? Is it worth it to fix it?
red saph... why don't u use yours??? When i bought my car it didn't have the cd magazine and I got them to drop the price of the car a couple hundred dollars cuz I said that I'd need to buy a whole new cd player because the magazines are coded to the cd player for theft deterrent (which isn't true)... haha... it worked though
I dumped mine long ago and installed a Phatnoise box. But you can buy one that fits or maybe even find one from Shokan. You may be able to pick one up at a local audio shop for a lot less than they charge at the dealer. I believe there is a Panasonic model that is plug and play with our cars. I was pricing one out a few years ago when I discovered the Phatnoise.
