While driving, I will sometimes have a strange noise from under the hood of the car that sounds like the car is coming apart. It's like a sputtering noise that strongly make the vehicle vibrate and appear as if the brakes are engaging. After this sputtering type noise stops after a few seconds, the Traction Control and ABS yellow triangular icon comes on and stays on. As long as the car continues to run, there's no more vibration and the icon symbol continues to be displayed but once the car's engine is cut off and back on again, this same procedure starts again after driving a few miles. The more I drive, the more frequent this occurs. There is no pattern and most of the time, I'm driving in normal conditions. There is no Audi dealership in my area so I have been getting service from the local Volkswagen dealership here. I don't think that the mechanics have enough knowledge/experience to diagnose my car's problem. Can anyone help me!!!!!!

 

Do you still have the issue? Any resolution that corrected the problem?
Sounds like the ABS system is engaging erratically.
