Tach Problems
So I'm at a stop light and I take off and shift at like 3 grand and my tach doesn't go back down it just stays at 3, then when I'm in second it goes to like 6 and stops. So now my tach is stuck all the way back around to zero. What is wrong, I'm guessing it will probably cost me. Thanx.
Repair- $250-$400 you pull it out/send it in. $1000 Dealer installs new "upgraded" cluster. My dealer covered half the cost so I paid $500 to get a new cluster @ 104 K. The cluster issue is a known weak point of the TT, and once one gauge starts acting up it only gets worse from there, sorry
my tach hasnt worked for over 6 months... im fighting it with audi but they suck lol.... im fixing mine through bba-ramen or whatever theyre called for $250but you gotta mail it to them and you cant drive the car w/oit so get something to drive while its being fixed
check for recalls ( its a sticky needle ) the spring is weak or the dash got too hot and expanded making the needle stick but as its electronic it could be the VSS or ABS because they are linked but ill go for a sticky needle
