has anyone seen a diy for removing TT tail lights?

First remove the panels in the rear side of your cargo area.

Inside there are two hand screws that secure the tail lights.

One you will be able to see, it is directly in, the other you will not be able to see and will have to find by feel, it is located up at the top of the interior of the opening.

Those are all that holds the light assembly to the car. The lights themselves are twist disengage, a quick twist to disconnect the bulbs and your light assembly is out.

There are also 2 round tipped metal bolts that pop into a little socket on the other end of the tail light(one on each corner).

Yeah. Theres gonna be 4 bulbs for the running lights. The 2 most outter & the 2 middle ones on each tail light. Give that a shot & report back.


Also, are these OEM tails or aftermarket?
