Tape Problem im pissed
I own a 2000 Audi TT and as i was driving tonight the tape deck made wierd noises like a jackhammer. It says there is a tape inside but there isint. Did anyone have that problem befor and if so how was it fixed? otherwise il go and pay the **** at the dealership $120 to look at it. How come all this **** happens as soon as your warranty runs out lol
Try pulling out the fuse for the radio and putting it back in. You have your radio code correct? Other than you need a new radio. No sence in paying 100 bucks to find that out. Just have the radio replaced.
Hopefully you won't have the Bose system - if so you may need to completely rewire your car's audio - I did!
Yep Dank I went aftermarket.
When I got TT with the Bose system I was not impressed.
Don't get me wrong, mate, I have the Bose Cinemate system supporting my 57" DLP and it is AMAZING how they get surround sound out of just 3 speakers and though I don't own one, I'm a huge fan of the Wave radio. But in the TT's case, the 6 disc changer did not work, it did not come with the integrated nav system, the CD player did not support MP3 and I tried using an FM tuner so I could play my Ipod Nano and it sounded like crap.
So yeah, Dank, I went aftermarket and you're right it was not cheap (labor wise) every bleeding speaker I ended up replacing too (Bose speakers don't work well with even the top of the line Kenwood deck it seems or the guys I knew didn't know what they were doing)... lol... lesson learned.
