Default Temperature Regulator Flap Motor Potentiometer, sporadic open

Last night I was driving home from work and a yellow light came on in my cluster in the center. I figured out that it was a side marker in the rear but I went into the climate control codes before I realized what it was and it gave me code 8.3

I looked it up and it is supposidly Temperature Regulator Flap Motor Potentiometer, sporadic open

After checking into it it regards heat but I dont have any issues with my climate control. All vents work and i can change the temp and direction with no problems. Is it possible that it could have happened because of a bulb? I find it hard to believe but maybe. If not can anyone explain what this is and how I can fix it?

Appreciated

Default one more thing

I just remembered about my rear defroster too. I posted on here a couple of weeks ago but never got a response but is it possible that it has something to do with that as well?

My car is falling apart!!!!
