yes..im sorry I'm new to this. If i do purchase the car, and get the bently manual I will be a little more educated and clearer in my posts.

okay.so im already ahead of the game here...do you have any idea what im talking about here...im thinking it has something to do with the quattro....i found a picture...area in question is in the red circle.

Yup, that is the Haldex and Rear Diff in that area. The leak could be either Haldex oil or differential fluid. Get it up on a lift and have it inspected by someone who knows about the TT or R32. Could be as simple as a loose filter cap or as much as a cracked case or a bad seal.

thanks for the advice. i will have it looked at by a near by dealer. approx what should i expect the cost to be (dont want to be taken) to repair a cracked case or seal?

call a local dealership and ask about a repair cost. they should be able to give it to you over the phone. then take 35-45% off of that number and consider that the fair cost at a reputable independent shop.
