throttle position

Default throttle position

i just recently bought a 2000 tt and it threw a code saying i have a bad throttle position sensor it lags in every gear around 3000 rpms it seems to not activate the turbo can anyone tell me where that part is located or they have had the same issue?

You'll have to replace the throttle body most likely. I would buy a Bosch brand if it turns out to be that. They make the part for Audi. Without a lap top and VCDS, or a VAS5052 scan tool I wouldn't know how to properly test to see if it is the throttle body. If you know someone with a high quality scan tool they probably could test it for you to confirm it is the throttle body.

The only issue with replacing the throttle body is that you have to perform a throttle body alignment with a scan tool after you install a new throttle body.
