they said they would cover belt breakage no matter what and dealer acknowledged that the tensioner and pump were the main culprits.they also said that if your car was under warranty (extended warr, etc.)that the pump etc was a covered part and that if a covered component failed and broke belt that it all would be covered under the regular warranty as well as this new belt warranty campaign.

 

80k is too many miles. my mechanic always recommends me to replace it between the 50K-75K.
