So got got my car back from the body shop and when I look down, my leather seat was torn. Im so mad. So I went to a upholstry place and audi does not reproduce aftermarket leather so you have to buy it from the dealership. Luckily the bodyshop is willing to pay for the damages. Does anyone know of a place that I could tell the upholstry place to look at into getting close to the same type of material?

 

One I wouldn't be mad, I would go to audi and order brand new seats. If the shop is paying for it don't get mad about new seats.

 

My driver's side outside bolster was all messed up when I bought my car. Audi wouldn't warranty it because I was the second owner. It cost me $800 to replace the entire upper seat cover (that included labor.)

 

You could get all the seats re done for $1000 at a cheaper place.

 

Sell them like they are and go aftermarket. Between the ebay $ you get for your seats and the shop's contribution you should have enough for a nice set of corbeausor something like that.

 

You can shed some weight in seats too. I personally love the TT's seats, they're comfy and look great.

Just find black Nappa leather I suppose?

 

I would get a new seat. Order it streight from audi and then take the old one and sell it on ebay. Dont forget that you have airbags in those seats before you go to a cheep aftermarket.

 

Let Audis fingers do the walking and you just get the free new seats.

 

I went with the factory seat cover because, as I was told by the upholstery shop who would have repaired it for $225, I was never going to get an exact match of the grey leather on just one panel. It would be off by a few shades. I didn't want my car to look ghetto, so I ponied up the $$$.
